Hey there, it's Danielle! In this episode, I'm laying it all out—my journey through countless books, articles, and podcasts on planning, goals, and personal development. But here's the kicker: I realized many of these strategies were tailored to men's lives, leaving us working moms with unique challenges overlooked. Frustration hit when resources for women focused solely on the domestic sphere. So, I started this podcast to bridge that gap. Today, we're diving into three key needs of working moms that reshape how you set your goals.
* Think life domains beyond just work—consider home projects and meal planning.
* Flexibility is key; adaptation is progress.
* And let's redefine goals—they're not just about success; they're about overall wellbeing.
Join me for a quick, impactful chat that'll empower you to set goals uniquely tailored to your life's beautiful chaos. Let's do this, working moms!

As we approach the end of the year, there's something magical about the cold winter days here in Iowa – a perfect time for reflection, hot tea, and cozy blankets. In today's episode, I open up about a time, seven or eight years ago, when I was a new mom, navigating the challenges of balancing work, family, and self. Maybe you can relate – feeling exhausted, a bit lost, and unsure of how to make it all work. Back then, personal reflection wasn't a consistent practice for me. But, oh, how that changed!
Key Takeaways:
Journal. You don't have to write an autobiography (but you can!). You just need good questions and pen to paper. If you need prompts to guide you, check my 2024 Goal Setting Workbook! And use code PLANGOALPLAN20 to save.
Make a reverse vision board. Get your hands busy and make a memory board. Use photos, stickers, doodle. Jump on canva or make a pinterest board. And pay attention to the thoughts and feelings that arise as you do!
Make it social! Reflect with others. Host a story circle. Take a clarity walk with a friend. Process your year with others.
Closing Thoughts:
As we bid adieu to the old year, let's welcome the new one with intention and gratitude. Whether you're drawn to the quiet solace of journaling, the creative expression of crafting a memory board, or the shared wisdom of reflective dialogues, the power lies in the act of reflection itself.
So, Plan Goal Plan family, grab your favorite hot beverage, find a cozy spot, and let's reflect, reveal, and step boldly into the possibilities that await. Be well!
